dear user,
I think a good life is being useful to others. In this spirit, I'm exploring the role that warm, smart, and functional design might play in uncovering new use cases for technology. How can we do better by building better ways of doing things? It's a question I think about everyday.
Today, I'm seeking an opportunity as a full-time user experience designer working with good people on challenging problems. In the past, I have: (1) designed content and digital marketing strategy at a financial research firm, (2) identified opportunity and delivered a mobile feature for a tech startup, and (3) led Peace Corps' initiatives supporting needs-based projects in Benin, West Africa.
In design as in life, I'm energized by the creativity borne of constraints and the originality borne of juxtaposition. I find balanced interplay between the familiar and the novel to be a driver in products that are equally practical and memorable.
If anything here interests you, or there's a way I might be useful to you, please reach out. In the meantime, I'm getting better at sharing in-progress work (i.e., this website) and naming my layers.
all good things,
claire
